Aisling is a harpist and song writer from the seaside town of Kenmare in the South West of Ireland.
She was immersed in music of varying genres from an early age, hence the broad range of influences in her original music, ranging from Jeff Buckley to Iarla O Lionaird to Joni Mitchell. Aisling plays various styles on the Irish harp.
In the last few years she has been experimenting with more contemporary genres (reggae/rock/blues) in an effort to stretch people’s preconceptions of what the harp is and what it can do. Having completed a degree in Music and Folklore in UCC in 2015, Aisling is now recording original work which will be released this Summer.
